Soft opening planned for warren, forest senior centers
The recent fall of COVID-19 positive percentage cases in both Warren and parts of Forest counties has initiated reopening programming and in-house lunches with exceptions.

COVID procedures for mask wearing unless eating are still mandatory. Activities are permitted if social distancing can be maintained. These restrictions are for senior citizens’ safety as well as the safety of staff.
Meals must be ordered two weeks in advance. Call the open center to order meals. Those who need to cancel their lunch can call the center and let staff know.
Currently open centers include:
¯ Allegheny Community Center (814-723-4180) is open Monday only from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
¯ Endeavor — Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call 814-463-7774.
¯ Marienville remains closed due to a high COVID percentage rate and staff continuing to provide needed assistance for COVID vaccination information. If COVID percentages continue to fall this will be reassessed. For more information, call 814-927-6607.
¯ Tidioute — Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call 814-484-3020.
¯ Sheffield — Monday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 814-968-5667.
All of the center staff members are looking forward to the day they can continue to provide activities and services consistently to the senior citizen communities. Experience Inc. officials said they ask for seniors’ understanding and patience as the agency transitions through changes.
The upcoming meal menu includes:
¯ March 17 — corned beef and cabbage and baked potatoes
¯ March 18 — baked meatloaf/mashed potatoes
¯ March 19 — tuna salad sandwich
¯ March 22 — center cut pork loin and whipped sweet potatoes
¯ March 23 — chicken taco and seasoned rice
¯ March 24 — porcupine balls and garlic whipped potatoes
¯ March 25 — turkey reuben and vegetable chowder
¯ March 26 — vegetable lasagna and tossed salad
¯ March 29 — mushroom cheeseburger and potato soup
¯ March 30 — mango barbecue chicken breast and brown rice
¯ March 31 – swedish meatballs and noodles.
