Some races are sprints. Some are marathons.

The 18th annual Nyla Luvison Memorial 5k is not a particularly long race, but it is taking a while.

Some finishers crossed the line weeks ago. Others may still be running on Saturday, Aug. 1.

The event is being held virtually this year. Entrants may sign up at Miles of Smiles or RunSignUp.com.

The entry cost of $20 will be divided between the Eisenhower High School Cross Country Team and the Cancer Care Center at Warren General Hospital.

The deadline to sign up and complete the event is Saturday, Aug. 1. All entrants will receive a race logo window decal. Finishers are encouraged to submit their results and photos at the event’s Facebook page.
