Tuesday afternoon at the Allegheny Community Center, Bill Massa was first with Marjorie Polito in second. At the Woman’s Club Thursday afternoon, Pat Raub and Donna Holding were tied for first and Carol Stone came in second. Cindi Agnew placed first Thursday evening at the library and Susie Spangler was second.

Bridge lessons for beginners will begin Monday, Sept. 23, and continue for eight weeks. They will be held at the Woman’s Club beginning at 9:30 a.m. and last for two hours. Call 723-5910 to reserve your spot. The cost is $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers, but this can be applied to the first year of membership.

Class breakfast

Youngsville High School class of 1961 will meet at Richard’s Restaurant at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, for breakfast.

Chicken and biscuits dinner

A Chicken and Biscuits Dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Russell United Methodist Church. Takeouts are available. The cost is by a donation, which benefits the Ministry Center.

September 11 ceremony

Warren County Memorial Park will host a September 11 Memorial Service at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Sponsored by Warren County Memorial Park, Warren County United Veterans Council, and Warren County emergency service organizations, there will be seating available, lighted on-site parking with a shuttle service available, and refreshments following the service.
