Photo submitted to Times Observer Above, Free Books for Kids Town is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a Benefit Barn Dance on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Woman’s Club from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be a live band and caller for barn dancing followed by a feast of delicious food these local restaurants: New York Style Deli, Jack’s Tap House, West Side Pizza, the Cornerstone, Bullpen, Perkins and Days Inn (formerly Holiday Inn), and Tops. Basket raffle prizes include Targeted Pet Treats, Rachel Ray Dog and Cat Food, Northwest Bank, Trader Joe’s, coffee from Arbor House, a wine basket and more. Below, Felix and Elianne Valencia are checking out some of the books from Free Books for Kids Town, a non-profit that has been serving the children of Warren County for five years. Admission for adults is by monetary donation (cash, check or credit card). Everyone is welcome.

Class lunch

The Warren High School class of 1955 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Bob Evans.

WGH Auxiliary Linen Sale

The WGH Auxiliary is sponsoring a Linen Sale on February 8 and 9 in the hospitals Outpatient Lobby from 7a.m. to 4 p.m. Bed linens, pillows, throws, towels, and much more.

Class breakfast

The Youngsville class of 1961 will meet for its monthly breakfast get-together at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Richard’s Restaurant in Youngsville. Guests are always welcome.

VA benefits assistance

The Youngsville America Legion will host a service officer who will assist veterans with VA benefits and claims from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Walk-ins are welcome.

Photo submitted to Times Observer The Pine Grove Lions Club and the Russell United Methodist Church are co-hosting their annual Spaghetti Dinner, Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Russell United Methodist Church Ministry Center, 17 Main St., Russell. Dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Adults $9, Children under 12 $4. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, beverage, and dessert. Take-outs will be available.
