Dairy Princess Court crowned

The 2016-2017 Dairy Princess Court was crowned on Sunday, May 15, at the Sugar Grove Fire Hall. The pageant was hosted this year by chairperson Tiffany Jackson.

Tiffany stared the afternoon by introducing the current court of Lil Dairy Misses: Bryn Lindell, Rachael Lucks and Ariel Ludwick, Dariy Maids: Elizabeth Lucks, Veronica Ludwick and Kaitlin Sleeman and Dairy Princess Rachel Enos. We had several past Princesses in attendance with Edith Miller Lehmann, Natalie Taydus Lucks, Tiffany Gilkinson Jackson, Carrie Swanson Ludwick, and Ashley Enos Sharrett. Along with Jennifer Nickerson a past Chautauqua County, New York Princess.

Rachel was then asked to speak on some of her accomplishments or highlights of her reign. Some of the things she enjoyed most were princess seminar, Ag Progress Days and the Warren County Fair. Rachel mentioned that she is a dairy princess because of Roberta Dixon who said, “You have to run, this is your passion, one day it might be your profession.”

Rachel was then presented with a thank you gift for being this years dairy princess. She received a picture blanket of some of her promotion memories. Along with a plaque

After that Rachel then gave her farewell speech that thanked all committee members that helped during her reign. She has a great passion for the Dairy Industry and plans to help the dairy promotion team continue to strive with excellence.

After her farewell speech, Rachel took a few minutes to thank many people for helping her.

Each maid and miss received a hand made cow bag with a t-shirt and goodies enclosed. Kaitlin received a cow pin for all her help and attending many promotion during the year.

The Family Consumer Science Teacher at Eisenhower Middle High School received a coffee mug with her name on it for helping with the cow bags. Tiffany Jackson received a nice photo album thanking her for taking her to many far away promotions. or state activities. Rachel then presented her mother with a beautiful glass letter thanking her mother along with flowers for all her help.

Rachel then crowned the new court. After crowning we enjoyed milk and cow cupcakes. Reminding everyone to have 3 servings of Dairy every day.
