LIFE-NWPA — unique healthcare program opens doors to its new center in Warren

LIFE Northwestern Pennsylvania (LIFE-NWPA), based in Erie, has opened its doors at its recently-renovated 10,500 square-foot Warren Center, serving eligible seniors through one of the more comprehensive Home and Community Health Based care systems in the nation.

The new center is located at 1882 Market Street in Warren and serves the entire county.

Mark Gusek, CEO of LIFE-NWPA, said, “After a rigorous review process with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, LIFE-NWPA has received approval to enroll eligible seniors from Warren County into our all-inclusive program.”

LIFE-NWPA already serves Erie, Crawford, and Mercer counties. Nationally known as the Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), the LIFE program is centered on the belief that it is better for seniors with chronic care needs to be served in the community whenever possible.

“The LIFE program provides a robust level of coordinated care, which may include prescriptions, home care, therapy, medical care, transportation to appointments, a day center, support for caregivers, and much more,” explained Mark, “and we provide most of our participants with these services at no cost to them, which means no premiums, no co-pays, and no deductibles, thus providing a significant peace of mind for many seniors and their families.”

Seniors, family members, and healthcare professionals can learn more about the LIFE program by calling toll-free at 1-844-456-5433, or by emailing info@lifenwpa.org.

The public is welcome to attend an open house on Wednesday, September 13, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day for free.
