Dr. Patrick S. and Anne Marie Farrell of Bemus Point, N.Y., and Russell, Pa., are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Dillon Farrell of Washington, D.C., to Cate Partain, daughter of Larry and Deborah Partain of Cypress, Calif.

Dillon, a 2010 Eisenhower High School graduate, received his BA degree from Penn State University where he dual majored in International Relations and Crime, Law and Justice and minored in Arabic. He also received his MA degree from Mercyhurst University in Strategic Intelligence. He is employed by the US Department of Defense.

Cate received her BA degree from the University of Southern California in International Relations and minored in Human Rights. She also earned her MA degree from Georgetown University in International Security Studies. She is employed by the US Department of State.

An October 2022 wedding is planned in Washington, D.C.
