One dead after Wrightsville standoff

A standoff involving law enforcement turned deadly on Saturday evening. Erie News Now reports one person died in the incident that lasted more than 12 hours in Wrightsville. That standoff closed Route 958 at a residence near Irvine’s Garage. Reports noted that when a rifle was pointed at officers, they returned fire. No officers were injured in the incident.
