Warren man faces additional child rape charges

A Warren man awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to sexual contact with a 12-year-old girl faces a new set of 27 felony charges filed Tuesday by city of Warren police.

Trevor Lester, 27, was charged with Tuesday with four counts of first-degree rape of a child, four counts of first-degree statutory sexual assault: 11 years older, three counts of first-degree felony involuntary deviate sexual intercoure with a child, three counts of second-degree felony aggravated indecent assault – complainant less than 13 years old, four counts o fincest of minor – complainant under 13 years of age, four counts of third-degree corruption of minors – defendant age 18 or above, and five counts of third-degree felony indecent assault person less than 13 years of age. The offense date is listed as Aug. 1, 2024.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, an interview took place in April 2026 at the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center during which a girl described alleged sexual conduct that took place when she was between 6 and 7 years of age. She described three separate incidents, according to the affidavit.

Lester’s case is listed as inactive since he is still awaiting a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Court Judge Raymond Zydonik. Lester has been in the Erie County Prison since November while awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in May to one count of first-degree felony rape of a child, two counts of first-degree statutory sexual assault: 11 years older, and one count of second-degree felony aggravated indecent assault – complainant less than 13 years old. Sentencing in that case is scheduled for August 18 in the Court of Common Pleas.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause in the 2025 charges, Warren city police officers received a report on May 30 from the mother of a 12-year-old child that the girl was allegedly exchanging sexually-related photographs and conversations through Snapchat with Lester. The girl was interviewed the following day at the Warren County Children’s Advocacy Center, during which the girl allegedly admitted to being in a relationship with Lester and to having contact with Lester via Snapchat.

The girl’s stepfather said during an interview with police that Lester allegedly admitted to him that Lester had sexual intercourse with the girl. During a follow-up interview on Wednesday, the girl allegedly told police about several sexual acts between herself and Lester – each of which resulted in the felony first-degree rape charges. A neighbor told police that she had also allegedly witnessed inappropriate contact between the 12-year-old and Lester.
