Children’s Interactive Festival in Downtown Warren Saturday, May 6

On Saturday, May 6, Second Avenue in Warren will be alive with street entertainment, displays and a giant used book sale.

Between Liberty Street and the fountain, there will be something for all ages at the Children’s Interactive Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free event is presented by Free Books for Kids Town.

Hands-on fun includes making a pine cone bird feeder, face painting, making slime, a lego creativity center, painting a wooden batmobile, repotting a flower for a Mother’s Day gift, World War II memorabilia, the WQLN stream machine and more.

Other activities are a magic show with John Beard, giant used book sale, costume parade, sweet shoppe, and card and gift boutique. Those attending can even learn to take their blood pressure and test their knowledge of the United States with a citizenship test.
