Warren Scholastic Book Fair to be held virtually

Photo submitted to Times Observer Pete the Cat welcomed visitors to the Warren Public Library 2019 Scholastic Book Fair. Pete is practicing social distancing this year and encourages those who are interested to visit the Virtual Book Fair at bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/warrenpubliclibrary through Sept. 4.
The Warren Public Library Scholastic Book Fair will be virtual this year.
Pete the Cat visited the 2019 Book Fair. “This year, Pete is encouraging adults to bring the joy of reading home for the children in their lives by shopping at the Warren Public Library’s Scholastic Virtual Book Fair now through Sept. 4,” Children’s Librarian Susan Slater said.
The event is intended to provide children with easy access to new books through the summer, according to Slater. “Families can shop and discover favorite characters, series, and collections that are sure to keep kids reading.”
All purchases benefit the library’s Children’s Department. “Our library will earn 25 percent in Scholastic Dollars based on sales throughout the summer,” Slater said.
Orders will be delivered directly to homes. Shipping is free on book-only orders over $25.
Interested readers may visit bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/warrenpubliclibrary.
“Shoppers can create an account to save our library in their profile for future purchases or you can shop without creating an account if you prefer,” Slater said.
