Tornado sirens in and around Warren went off at approximately 12:55 p.m. but there is no active emergency.

It’s unclear why the siren went off.

Warren County Public Safety Director Ken McCorrison said there “is no catastrophic emergency” and noted that it is “not even positive” what caused the sirens to activate.

“It definitely wasn’t intentional,” he said, noting that no one at the 911 Center in Youngsville activated the sirens.
