Anniversary:
Walton 50th

Wayne and Stella Walton celebrationed their 50th Anniversary on Oct. 5, 2018, as guests of Mrs. Walton’s sisters, Sylvia Crippen, Spring Clark, and Shirley (Lorilie) Allison treated them to dinner at New Beginnings Restaurant in Sugar Grove. On Oct. 6, 2018, an open house reception was held at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 18 Second Street, Youngsville.
The reception and decorations host and hostess was provided by friends, Tim and Heather Hummer of Pittsfield. The anniversary cake and cupcakes were provided by a niece, Virginia (Ginger) Brown.

Guests attended from Bear Lake, Sugar Grove, Youngsville, Pittsfield, Warren, Marienville, Tidioute, Gibsonia, Pittsburgh, and Sinclairville, N.Y.
Mr. and Mrs Walton had one son, who was died in 1970 due to a tragic car accident. The Waltons renewed their wedding vows on their 25th anniversary at the Evangelical United Methodist Church; presiding was Rev. Spurgeon Witherow and Rev. Robert Hinkle. They were originally married by Rev. George Pierce at his home on Old Pittsfield Road. This was Rev. Pierce’s last official marriage that he performed.
The Waltons have resided on York Hill Rd., Pittsfield, for nearly 40 years. Their home was built by a family and friends in the the late 70’s.
