Sheffield honored its seniors on Tuesday in their final home match and welcomed one of the top teams in District 9, Port Allegany.

The Gators proved to be rude hosts, earning a 66-15 win over the Wolverines.

Eight of the 16 matches were wrestled, with Nick Knowles and Ethan Finch turning in the top performances of the night for the Wolverines.

Knowles needed just 31 seconds to earn a pin at heavyweight, while Finch wrestled a smart, tough match in earning a 9-4 decision over Port Allegany’s Montgomery Tanner at 138.

The Gators, who will participate in the District 9 team duals this weekend, got pins in five of their six non-forfeit wins.
