Man charged in Wash Co. heroin death
WASHINGTON, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania man who allegedly sold fentanyl-laced heroin to a woman who overdosed the first time she used the drug has been jailed.
Washington County District Attorney Eugene Vittone says 35-year-old Robert Welsh III is responsible for the death of 28-year-old Sarah Adessa Wilson.
Vittone says Welsh met Wilson and her boyfriend in a bar and gave them each one stamp bag of the drugs “to try.”
The county coroner ruled Wilson died from a combination of alcohol and the fentanyl-laced heroin.
