Broncos and Chiefs open Monday Night slate

NEW YORK (AP) — The Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs will play Sept. 14 in the first game of ESPN's "Monday Night Football" schedule. Where that game will be played was not part of Tuesday morning's announcement. The location has not been determined yet with the NFL still finalizing things ahead of Thursday night's 2026 season schedule release. PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Pirates ace Paul Skenes saw his no-hit bid against the Colorado Rockies broken up in the seventh inning on Tuesday night by Mickey Moniak's clean single. The reigning National League Cy Young Award winner struck out 10 and walked none while facing the minimum 19 batters before Moniak stepped to the plate with one out in the seventh. PITTSBURGH — Paul Skenes allowed two hits over eight masterful innings to help the Pittsburgh Pirates toppled the Colorado Rockies 3-1 on Tuesday night. The reigning National League Cy Young winner carried a no-hitter into the seventh while retiring 18 of the first 19 batters he faced. The team of April Tharp and Donna McDonald fired a gross 44 to pace the Ladies Cramble League at Jackson Valley Golf Course. Tracey Rickard and Katie Penley were second with a 46. The net winners were the teams of Andrea Desnerck and Kelly D’Angelo, and Mary Beth Whiting and Carolyn Worley with a 31 apiece.

Dragons softball suffers pair of losses

The Warren High girls softball team suffered a pair of losses Monday and Tuesday, falling to Bradford 19-8 and Titusville 20-0. Against the Owls, Emma Gray (three RBIs) and Leilia Barnes collected two hits apiece, with Alexis Jones, Olivia Romanosky, and Tori Solberg (RBI) adding one hit each. Alanna Warrior contributed an RBI as well. The Lady Dragons look to regroup at 4 p.m. today as they host Meadville.
