Quarterback competitions traditionally have been the focal point of spring football when a team has lost its starter from the previous season. ERIE — The Eisenhower baseball won its first game of the season, defeating Seneca 6-3 in Region 4 action Wednesday. The Knights jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning thanks to a Caleb Jakubczak two-run double. FRANKLIN — The Warren boys and girls track and field teams earned a Tuesday sweep when they visited the Franklin Knights. The girls were in a tight match the entire afternoon, with some events coming down to 0.01 seconds such as the 1,600 meters and the 400-meter relay.
