ERIE — The Warren boys and girls track team competed at the 39th annual Joe Sanford McDowell Invitational on Friday and returned home with some impressive results. The girls finished in ninth place out of 16 teams, earning 43 total points. The boys finished 11th out of 18 teams with 28.50 points. The highlight of the day was Max Spiegel, who was the lone Dragon to win an event. He jumped 6 feet, 3 inches to claim the high jump crown. SMETHPORT — The Eisenhower baseball and softball teams traveled to Smethport on Friday and earned a split. The boys lost to the Hubbers 12-4, in a game that was tied 4-4 in the fifth inning, and the Lady Knights exploded for 16 runs, winning 16-1.
