Warren volleyball takes 2nd at Fort LeBoeuf Tournament

WATERFORD — The Warren High school girls volleyball team earned a 2nd place runner-up finish in the highly competitive Fort LeBoeuf Tournament over the weekend. 16 squads competed in the event where they were placed in one of four pools. The Dragons took care of business as they defeated Meadville 25-16, Union City 25-13, and General McLane 25-21. These results placed the Dragons in the "A" pool for the afternoon where they defeated tournament host Fort LeBoeuf 25-24, 25-21 as well as the Fairview Tigers 25-15, 25-20, but lost to the Corry Beavers 19-25, 20-25. FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Tua Tagovailoa has been selected as the Atlanta Falcons' starting quarterback for Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team announced Monday. The decision comes after Tagovailoa's monthslong competition with Michael Penix Jr., who started nine games for the Falcons in 2025 before suffering a season-ending torn ACL in November. ERIE — The Warren High and Beaty-Warren Middle School student-athletes spent their Labor Day weekend competing in the 52nd annual McDowell Invitational held at Brown’s Farm. The Dragons took advantage of the nice weather and turned in some nice performances, highlighted by a top-10 individual finish by junior Leyton Salvatore.
