OIL CITY — The Warren volleyball team stayed hot Tuesday as the Dragons defeated Oil City 26-24, 25-10, 25-12 in Region 4 action. The Dragons warded off a tough Oilers front, which seemed to take the wind out of the home team. Sets two and three were light work for the Dragons as they found their groove and took control. Reaching double digit kills for the Dragons were Attie Corey with 12 and Hailey Cabisca with 10. Lara Pearson had nine kills with Brynn Norris assisting 28 times in the win. Mercyhurst Prep hands Warren girls 4-0 setback Saturday

ERIE — The Warren girls soccer team dropped a 4-0 loss Saturday against Mercyhurst Prep. The Lakers came out swinging and put pressure on the Dragons from the very start to the end. “The ladies are doing a great job defensively and containing the offensive attack,” said Warren head coach Teresa Abplanalp. “We’re struggling with putting the ball in the net though.” The Dragons will look to get back in the win column today when they travel to Franklin to take on the Knights for a 6 p.m. varsity-only kickoff.

MEADVILLE — Warren's Kate Shippee battled through a tough front nine Monday morning at Meadville Country Club where nothing seemed to go smoothly.
