Warren County avian enthusiasts enjoyed a winter tradition with the 82nd Christmas Bird Count last month Despite frigid morning temperatures on Dec. 14, more than 50 field observers and one feeder counter recorded the avian activity; 5,350 birds spanning 61 species were logged, slightly below the 10-year average of 5,753 birds but on par with the average species diversity of 60.
