ERIE -- The Warren girls soccer team fell 6-1 to Harbor Creek on Wednesday during the District 10 3A playoffs.

Coming in as the No. 4 seed, the Lady Dragons had a tall order to fill going against the top-seeded Huskies. Warren had its figurative backs against the wall almost immediately as Harbor Creek rattled off four goals in just under 20 minutes into the first half.

The Huskies would tack on another goal before Warren sophomore Ava Wymer would put the Dragons on the board, but it was too late to mount any sort of comeback.

The Huskies advance to the District 10 3A finals to be played next Tuesday. The Lady Dragons say goodbye toseniors Traci Abplanalp, Maggie Bennett, Violet Brooker, Bella Campbell, Jazmine Jones and Lani Wenzel.

Teresa Abplanalp ends her maiden voyage as head coach of the Dragons and seeks to improve, and fill the gaps left by the seniors.

"I thought our girls adjusted and did well as a whole team to push back and answer with shots," she said. "We had a goal of our own scored by Ava Wymer and assisted by Joanna Bennett. In the second half, we held their starters to one goal."
