The Warren boys soccer team continued its hot streak Tuesday with a 2-1 victory over Girard at War Memorial Field.
"It wasn't always pretty, but a huge win in a playoff atmosphere," reported head coach Steffen Blair.
Scoring goals for the Dragons were Gabe Dougherty and Mason Warner, with Dougherty and Reilly Morgan recording assists.
"Timmy (Giger) was everywhere tonight," added Blair. "He did so much to settle the game down, control the pace and kill their counters. Eddie was massive for us when we needed him. The penalty save in the first half gave us a ton of energy. He has a talent for turning dangerous chances into calm saves, and we don't take that for granted."
The win marked the Dragon's 8th in a row. They have secured a playoff spot, and will find out their seed, opponent, location and time on Thursday.
