WARREN -- Warren made quick work in the first two sets of visiting Meadville on Thursday evening before defeating the Bulldogs 25-11, 25-12, 26-24 in Region 4 volleyball.

It was also Senior Night for the Dragons, where they recognized and celebrated the careers of Malysia Sorensen, Addison Ristau, Paiden Johnson, Attie Corey, Julia Getner, Peyton Cabisca, Brooke Sherry and Brynn Norris.

The Bulldogs weren't going down without a fight in the third set. They were able to tie the game at 23 apiece, then win the next point to have an opportunity to win the set, if it weren't for the Dragons' Hailey Cabisca, who had a cross-court kill to deadlock the set at 24-24. An unforced error from the Bulldogs enabled the Dragons to have a shot at the match, and they made full use of that. A block party featuring senior duo Getner and Corey put the final nail in the coffin, securing the Warren sweep.

The evening was also special as senior Corey surpassed the 500-kill mark for her career.

For Warren, Hailey Cabisca had 19 kills; Norris had 28 assists; Johnson had four aces and four digs; Attie Corey had 11 kills and three aces; Sorensen had seven digs; Getner had three kills, two aces and two blocks; Sherry had two kills and three digs; and Lara Pearson chipped in five kills.

The Dragons head to Maplewood on Saturday to compete in the Tigers' annual tournament.
