The Eisenhower girls soccer team made a dramatic turnaround this season which propelled them to the District 10 playoffs and a stunning 1-0 upset of Mercyhurst Prep in the quarterfinals and a spot in the semifinals.

However, the Lady Knights saw their season end against Seneca by a score of 9-0 on Thursday evening.

"It was a tough game against a veteran team," Eisenhower head coach Ashley Elms stated. "The girls have nothing to hang their heads about. We made it to the semifinal round of the playoffs and that is certainly an achievement to be proud of."

The Lady Knights improved from 6-11 a year ago and improved to 13-7 this season, they made the playoffs and earned a playoff win.

While they will miss their seniors, they have a young squad that got valuable experience and a taste of the playoffs. The future is bright for the program.

"This first year of coaching was so much more than I could have asked for," Elms said. "I have witnessed teams in the past get down on each other when something negative happened and I have watched the girls on this team support one another in every situation, they all play with such heart and determination. It is a pleasure to coach them, I am already looking forward to next season."
