Ike suffers volleyball loss on Tuesday

For the second night in a row, the Eisenhower girls volleyball team went five sets to decide the winner.
Unlike Monday when the Knights prevailed, they couldn't do the same Tueday when they fell to Franklin 25-15, 24-26, 25-14, 24-26, 14-16.
It was a battle all evening, as neither team could break away and no lead was greater than seven points in any set.
Eisenhower opened up a 4-1 lead in the fifth set and extended the margin to 10-5 before Franklin began to chip away. The set was tied 11-11 and 14-14 before the visitors rallied for the come-from-behind victory.
Leading the way for Eisenhower was Alanna Byrd with 12 kills, two aces, five blocks, 14 digs, and five serve receptions. Paisley Lawson had 13 kills, one block, 23 digs and 10 serve receptions; Ashlynn Zimmerman had seven kills, one block and two digs; Meredith Smyth had six kills, 23 digs, one block and 23 serve receptions; Gabriella Hodak had three kills; Navaeh Bimber had three kills, one block, three digs and two serve receptions; Adelyn McDonald had two aces, nine digs and five serve receptions; Kinley Curtis and Kayden Moore each added one kill; and Vivian Palmieri added 10 digs and 15 serve receptions.
Eisenhower is back in action today when it travels to Fairview.
