BRADFORD -- The Warren boys soccer team traveled into District 9 territory Thursday and defeated Bradford 6-0.

Deadlocked at 0-0 after the first half, the Dragons turned up the intensity in the second half and rattled off six goals en route to the win.

"I have to give credit to Bradford as they were very strong defensively and nothing came easily," said Warren head coach Steffen Blair. "After a frustrating first half, I'm proud of how the boys bounced back."

Mason Warner scored twice as did Grant Newton. Scoring one goal apiece were Gabe Dougherty and Trey Carrington. Notching assists were Timmy Giger, Logan Ristau and Adam Yeager. Goalkeeper Eddie Abplanalp recorded four saves in the shutout win.

"Mason (Warner), Adam (Yeager) and Logan (Ristau) were special in the second half and were huge reasons we were able to get things clicking," Blair said.

The Dragons head to Meadville on Monday, seeking to get revenge from a loss in late September. The game is slated for a 6 p.m. varsity kickoff with junior varsity to follow.
