Warren sweeps Lancers ahead of matchup with Bison

WARREN -- The Warren Dragons earned another sweep Monday evening as they defeated General McLane 25-10, 25-16, 25-19 in Region 4 volleyball.
The Dragons were able to capitalize on various unforced errors by the Lancers and were a powerhouse on the offensive end.
Thirteen kills came from Attie Corey, with Lara Pearson pitching in 10 kills, and nine by Hailey Cabisca. Brynn Norris notched 36 assists with Malysia Sorensen having eight digs. Brook Sherry was impressive as a server as she had six aces in the victory.
The Lancers took care of business in the junior varsity match as they won 25-6, 25-17 against the Dragons.
For Warren, Kendall Skerda had seven digs and three kills with Luci Salvatore and Alice Pearson each contributing three kills apiece. Lexi Nuhfer added in eight assists and Monica Malczyk had four of her own. Taylor Swanson and Marie Malczyk each had two kills in the loss.
The Dragons have a tough matchup today as they host the Fort LeBoeuf Bison in a highly anticipated matchup with junior varsity starting at 6 p.m. and varsity to follow afterward.
