MEADVILLE -- The Warren girls soccer team picked up a 5-2 win over Meadville on Friday.
In less than 11 minutes of the first half, Dragon sophomore standout Ava Wymer scored her third goal of the game. Senior captain Lani Wenzel had her own hat trick as she assisted Wymer on all three of these goals.
Wymer wasn't quite done yet as she scored a fourth goal in the second half, assisted by Joanna Bennett. Wenzel also added a goal, assisted by Delaney Moore to seal the deal.
“I couldn’t be prouder than the way we started the game and the intensity that the girls showed throughout the whole game," Dragons head coach Teresa Abplanalp said.
The Dragons (2-3) head to Erie High today to take on the Royals at 5 p.m.
