HERMITAGE -- The Warren High boys golf team ended their 2026 regular season on a high note Thursday as they earned a 6th place team finish at the annual Tam O' Shanter Invitational.
Competing against 34 teams, the Dragons were led by District qualifier Michael Palmieri's 79, the lone golfer to break 80 for Warren. Gavin Haibach fired a consistent 81, followed by Presley Weldon's 83, then a 90 by Hayden Hendricks. Sophomore newcomer Jack Hilbert's 118 rounded out the scoring for Warren.
The Dragons are now into the postseason.
Seniors Gavin Haibach and Hayden Hendricks will have one final shot at keeping their season alive Friday when they head to Whispering Pines in Meadville to participate in the 'Last Chance Qualifier.' Six golfers from AAA Region 6 will compete, with the low scorer earning the final spot in the District 10 AAA individual competition next Tuesday and Wednesday.
