Knights travel to undefeated Cambridge Springs tonight

The Eisenhower football team has made significant improvements the last two weeks during a loss to Corry and a one-point loss to Seneca in overtime last week. The Knights will need to continue to trend upward when they go on the road tonight against Cambridge Springs.
The Knights (0-4, 0-3) will face an undefeated Cambridge Springs (4-0, 2-0) that is very experienced
"They are a very well coached team that every year is vying for the district playoffs," Eisenhower head coach Jim Penley said about the Devils.
Cambridge Springs is led by a trio of talented running backs, junior Wyatt Keem gets the bulk of the carries (90-447, 4 TDs), senior Jon Daley (60-325, 3 TDs), and senior Kaydin McFarren (22-168, 2 TDs).
"Just a talented group of hard running guys who each have the ability to score every time they have the ball," added Penley.
The Knights seem to have found their offensive rhythm over the last two games and are led by seniors Joe Gigliotti at quarterback and Nolan Gesing at running back. Gigliotti has thrown for 280 yards (24-45, 2 TDs) and rushed for 265 yards and two touchdowns.
Gesing has been the workhorse for Eisenhower, he has gained 418 yards on 69 carries and three touchdowns. He also is averaging 15.4 yards per reception (9-139).
Even though this is not a region game since the realignment, these two teams are long time rivals and have played some memorable games over the years, Jim Penley knows what his team must do.
"They play very disciplined football," Penley said about Cambridge Springs. "They have a big, dominant line and a tremendous group of running backs, in order for us to be successful we must control the line of scrimmage and slow down their run game."
Tonight's game is at Cambridge Springs high school with kickoff set for 7.
