WARREN -- The Fairview Tigers bested Warren on Wednesday as they defeated the Dragons 5-1 in Region 5 girls soccer at War Memorial Field.
Warren senior captain Lani Wenzel scored the lone goal for the home team with under two minutes left in the game from a ball by Ellise Wilson.
"The girls played well, and our defense remains strong," Dragons head coach Teresa Abplanalp said. "Grace Wilkins and Violet Brooker played well defensively, and Joanna Bennett, Ellise and Lani had all-around solid play.”
The Dragons, now 3-4-0 on the year, look to bounce back Tuesday when they head to Franklin to take on the Knights.
