RUSSELL -- The Eisenhower volleyball team made quick work of visiting Hickory on Thurday as the Lady Knights won in three straight sets 25-10, 25-22 and 25-20.
Eisenhower was dominant from the opening set and set the tone that carried through each game.
Leading Eisenhower was Meredith Smyth who had seven kills, two aces, 10 digs and 12 serve receptions, Paisley Lawson had seven kills, an ace, seven digs and four serve receptions, Alanna Byrd had four kills, four aces, nine digs, a block and five serve receptions, Naveah Bimber had four kills and two digs, Ashlyn Zimmerman had four kills, a block and two digs, Zella Hendricks and Addy McDonald combined for an added eight digs and nine serve receptions.
Eisenhower head coach Lori Pascuzzi was pleased with her team's performance.
"I am happy with the level of intensity the girls played with tonight," Pascuzzi stated. "They came out ready to play, they were consistent and really played as a team. It was a nice game to win in three straight sets."
