FRANKLIN -- The Warren girls soccer team picked up a nice road victory Tuesday as they defeated the Franklin Knights 2-0.
The first half was a stalemate at 0-0 as neither team could convert on the offensive end.
The Dragons broke through in the second half when Joanna Bennett, assisted by Grace Wilkins, found the back of the net to take the 1-0 lead.
Not too much longer after that Ellise Wilson would get the Dragons an insurance goal, safely putting them up 2-0. Wilkins notched her second assist of the game with the goal.
"We had a great offensive game with over 30 shots on goal tonight," Warren head coach Teresa Abplanalp said.
Senior captain goalkeeper Bella Campbell recorded eight saves in the shutout victory.
The Dragons look to continue the momentum Thursday when they host the Meadville Bulldogs at 6 p.m. at War Memorial Field.
