Conneaut sweeps Knights in volleyball

RUSSELL -- Conneaut made the long trip to Eisenhower on Monday night and made quick work of the Knights, defeating the hosts in three sets, 25-11, 25-18 and 25-22 in a nonregion volleyball match.
Eisenhower was led by Paisley Lawson, who had 10 kills, an ace, nine digs and four serve receptions. Alanna Byrd had four kills, 17 digs and five serve receptions. Meredith Smyth had three kills, 14 digs and six serve receptions. Navaeh Bimber had two kills and five digs. Gabby Hodak had a kill, five digs and two serve receptions. Ashlyn Zimmerman had a kill, an ace and a dig. Kadyn Moore had an ace, six digs and a serve reception. Vivian Palmieri and Addy McDonald combined for eight digs and 14 serve receptions.
Eisenhower saw its overall record fall to 5-4. The Knights are back in action today when they travel to Cathedral Prep for a 6 p.m. game.
