BUSTI, N.Y. -- As the dog days of summer begin to wind down and the number of remaining race nights shrinks, Stateline Speedway is hosting the perfect event for the whole family. This Saturday marks the highly anticipated Westfield Ag & Turf "Free Night," presented by Rent To Hometown. Fans will be treated to free grandstand admission, an on-track autograph session to meet their favorite drivers and a massive giveaway where the first 500 K-5 students through the gates will receive a brand-new backpack filled with school supplies.
While the fans enjoy the free promotions, the on-track action promises to be as fiercely competitive as ever. Entering the final stretch of the season, the championship points battles are heating up across the speedway's weekly divisions.
SUPER LATE MODELS
The premier Super Late Model Division remains wide open, with the top five drivers in the standings all in mathematical contention for the track championship. Current points leader Darrell Bossard will have his hands full trying to fend off a hungry pack of challengers that includes Greg Oakes, Jason Genco, Bob Dorman and Kyle Bedell, all of whom are well within striking distance of the title.
RUSH LATE MODELS
The RUSH Late Model championship battle is a classic matchup of veteran experience versus youthful exuberance. Legendary local driver Randy Hall currently sits atop the standings, but he is being actively hunted by a trio of young guns: Jake Wilber, Ian Travis and William Pinckney. Overtaking the veteran will be no easy task, however, as Hall boasts more laps around the historic Busti oval than all three of his challengers combined.
RUSH PRO MODS
The RUSH Pro Mod title fight is currently led by the driver with the second-longest racing career in the Stateline pit area. However, the veteran cannot rest easy, as Victor Earle Jr., Cody Vanguilder and Dave Shagla Jr. are applying heavy pressure. The division has been incredibly unpredictable this season, proving that anyone can park it in victory lane on any given Saturday night.
PRO STOCKS
The Pro Stock crown has evolved into a heavy-hitting, two-horse race between Jason Covey and John Boardman. Covey's return to the division has been nothing short of dominant, tallying three feature victories to seize control of the points. To capture another Stateline title, Boardman will need to find a wave of late-season momentum and successfully defeat his former race car, which Covey now pilots.
RUSH STOCK CARS
The RUSH Stock Car Division has been a young man's game in 2026. Cole Strickland currently holds the points lead, but he is locked in a tight battle with Raidden Wilson and Alex Bush. Much like the Pro Mods, this highly competitive class is capable of producing a different winner every week.
CHALLENGERS & UMP MODIFIEDS
While the other divisions remain tightly contested, the Challenger and UMP Modified championships are all but spoken for. Holden Heineman has put on a clinic in the Challenger ranks, holding the largest points lead of any division and becoming the first driver to break the 1,000-point threshold this season. Meanwhile, Greg Johnson holds a commanding advantage over Andrew Beatman in the UMP Modifieds; it would take a catastrophic string of bad luck for Johnson to lose his grip on the title.
