CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. — Jamestown Community College plays host to the 2026 Men’s and Women’s NJCAA Division III Golf National Championships this week at Chautauqua Golf Club. This marks the 27th time Jamestown has hosted the event, dating back to 2000. JCC will welcome 120 student-athletes representing 27 teams from 12 states to Jamestown for the weeklong event. While teams will come from as far as Wisconsin and Georgia, the boys in green and gold are thrilled to be on the national stage.

“I think it’s really cool that we get to host nationals,” said JCC freshman Kyler Wojtowicz. “Not many teams get the chance to play such a big event on their home course, and it’s exciting to showcase our program, school and facilities to everyone coming in.”

“I am super excited to have nationals at our home course, and I’m most excited to play in this massive tournament and see all my friends from other colleges that I’ve made over the season,” said JCC sophomore and Jamestown native Cole Johnson. “It’s super cool to have an event like this so close to me, especially since I know that there are kids and schools coming from all over our country. I hope that I get to meet some new people and have just a really fun week.”

“I like the idea of nationals being held by JCC,” South Africans Zach Johnson said. “It shines a light on how great of a place this all is/”

This event is extra special for local product Cadence Rodgers, who won 10 of 11 Region 3 events, but saw her largest field of competition being five opponents. Now, she gets to take on 32 of the best female golfers in the nation.

“I am looking forward to finally playing against girls,” said Rodgers. “This means so much to me because I come from a big golf family and I like knowing that they are happy I’m playing.”

Regardless of where the Jayhawks are from, they all agree this is a special opportunity not just in their golfing lives, but it could be a once-in-a-lifetime week.

“Playing at this level of competition is motivating,” said Wojtowicz. “You know every player there has earned their spot, so it pushes you to stay focused and bring your best every round. Competing against talented players is one of the best ways to improve.”

“I am very excited to play our home course and to see how the other teams play the course,” added Zach Johnson.

“It feels really cool to have people watching us play in our little town, and I’m hoping that me, Zach and Dan do well enough for them to actually watch us,” said a smiling Cole Johnson.

“I just want to go out, have fun, remember to play my game and not worry about anyone else,” Rodgers added.

Starting at $3.50/week.
