It was senior night for the Lady Dragon softball team as they hosted the Fort LeBoeuf Bison on Thursday.

The Dragons recognized seniors Emma Gray, Alanna Warrior, Emma Rarey, Danika Abbey and Tori Solberg.

In the first inning each team scored three runs. The Bison matched their first-inning score in the top of the second to take a 6-3 lead, but the Dragons responded with one of their own. The Bison came in full force in the third inning, scoring 10 runs to take the commanding lead, and scored an additional 3 to finish the game in five innings.

Notching hits for the Lady Dragons were Emma Gray (double) and Sydney Barr (RBI) with two apiece, and Alyssa Goss, Peyton Hagg (RBI) and Tori Solberg with (double, two RBIs) with one apiece.

“It may have been a loss, but the seniors stepped up and played really well,” head coach Samantha Mott said.

The Dragons look to bounce back today at home as they face McDowell at 4 p.m.
