ALLISON (ATWOOD) MADIGAN
SOFTBALL/TENNIS
Pitcher for the 2000 WAHS softball team that was Western Pa. champion and state silver medalist, and claimed back-to-back District 10 titles (1999, 2000) and four straight conference titles (1997-2000). First-team all-state (2000), conference MVP (1998-2000) and four-year starting player and letter winner for the Dragon softball team. The Dragons had an 80-8 record over the four years she played for Warren. In the 2000 season, compiled 145 strikeouts, a perfect game and 10 shutouts, including five in the playoffs. In the 1999 undefeated regular season, she hit .354 and, as a pitcher, had an ERA of 0.61.

Grove City College Hall of Fame Class of 2018 for softball and tennis. Earned Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Star and CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.
As a pitcher, owns the single season and career records for strikeouts per seven innings. Holds the first and fourth spots for GCCs women’s softball all-time single season ERA (1.08 in 2004 and 1.40 in 2001) and is second in all-time career ERA at 1.90. Earned conference Pitcher of the Year in 2004.
Hit .473 for the GCC in 2004 (second all-time single-season batting average for GCC) and led the team in hits, total bases and RBIs. Career batting average of .367 ranks seventh all-time at Grove City. Earned all-conference recognition all four years, including first team three times and was named Freshman of the Year in 2001. Started for the softball team and lettered all four years.
In tennis at Grove City, won conference titles in both singles and doubles, as well as first-team all-conference, all four years. Earned conference Player of the Year award in both 2002 and 2003. Compiled a 47-9 career singles record and 42-12 doubles record, going 36-0 in conference matches. Helped lead the Wolverines to four straight league titles. Started and lettered all four years in tennis at GCC.

Ended her college career as the program’s all-time leader in wins (54), appearances (89), compete games (74), shutouts (13), and innings pitched (526.2). Her teams went 103-50-1 during her career and amassed 51 AMCC wins, the most by any school over that span. She also has season records for fewest walks allowed per game (0.42), shutouts (7) and ranks in top 10 all-time in hits (107) and runs batted in (66).
Four-time All-AMCC selection and five-time AMCC Pitcher of the Week. She was also named the Pitt-Bradford Female Athlete of the Year in both 2005-06 and 2006-07.
