The Warren unified bocce program hosted Maplewood on Tuesday for an important potential playoff-implication matchup. The Tigers brought their A-game and then some to defeat both Warren squads. Warren 1 lost 7-1, and Warren 2 fell 12-4. “Maplewood had incredible accuracy that we couldn’t match today,” reported head coach Cayla Onoratti. “We had some great rolls, but couldn’t capitalize.” Even though both Dragons teams lost, they still have a chance to make the postseason, but that won’t be determined until next week as Maplewood takes on Corry. Onoratti added, “We had a great night celebrating our seniors, and had a lot of community support. Lettie (Pearson), Sophia (Fromknecht) and Brooke (Campbell) have been excellent partners on our teams. All three have contributed in more ways than one and will be missed next year.” Clockwise, from top left, Ryder Check celebrates; Lettie Pearson, Sophia Fromknecht and Brooke Campbell pose for a photo on Senior Night; and Fromknecht, Jacob Elmquist, Attie Corey and Hemi Baran look on to see where the ball settles.
