WARREN — The McDowell Trojans were in town Monday when they faced off against the Warren girls basketball team in a Region 7 matchup.

McDowell defeated Warren by a score of 68-47 led by a strong 23-point performance from the Trojan’s Kasey Netkowicz and 19 points from Adison Rivera.

The Dragons fought hard, but McDowell’s depth was able to best the home team.

For the Dragons, Emma Roell had a strong scoring night with 16 points, followed by Peyton Wotorson with 12. Chipping in 8 points was Tori Solberg and Peyton Hagg scored 4.

The junior varsity game saw the Trojans outscore the Dragons 30-21. Emma Gray scored 6 points, with Lily Richards and Emma Rarey each notching 5 points.

The Dragons are back at home Thursday when they host the Erie High Royals. This is a varsity-only contest slated for a 7 p.m. tip-off at Warren Area High School.
