Gavin Lindemuth, Eisenhower’s 6-foot-5, 200-pound tight end/defensive end has signed his national letter of intent to continue his football and academic pursuits at NCAA Division II PennWest Edinboro.

Lindemuth, the son of Jay and Jamie Lindemuth of Russell, was a three-year starter for the Knights football team and was an all-region choice his senior season.

Lindemuth impressed the Fighting Scots coaches and they are looking forward to him joining their program.

“We are super excited to have him joining the Edinboro family in 2026. He is a local kid and we want to recruit the local kids here,” said Edinboro offensive coordinator Zach Griffith. “When he was here for his visit he impressed us and has what we are looking for in our players for our program.”

Eisenhower was a combined 29-15 and qualified for the playoffs each of the three seasons Lindemuth played. He had 15 receptions for 297 yards and two touchdowns for a run-heavy knight football team. He was a force on the defensive side of the football as well with 27 solo tackles, 82 assists, 10 sacks and 24 tackles for loss behind the line of scrimmage.

“I’m super proud of Gavin,” Eisenhower head coach Jim Penley said. “He’s the kind of player you want on your team. He is an intense player; he’s always pushing the attitude to the highest levels. He’s got all of the tools to do an outstanding job at the Boro.”

Griffith is equally impressed with Lindemuth’s intensity on the field.

“He possesses a unique skill set to finish plays both in the run and pass game,” he said. “His size, strength and speed are very apparent on film. We can’t wait to see what he can do on the college level.”

Lindemuth plans on majoring in exercise science with a minor in business to pursue a physical therapist or a front office position in the sports world.

Starting at $3.50/week.
