PORT ALLEGHENY — The Eisenhower boys basketball team used a 28-point second quarter and got a huge game from junior Austin Hanson to improve their record to 16-3 en route to a 71-46 victory over Port Allegheny on Monday night.
The Gators jumped out to a 19-14 first-quarter lead over the knights before Eisenhower’s defense and Hanson’s five 3- pointers fueled a 28-6 second-quarter run to take a 42-25 halftime lead.
The Knights outscored the hosts 29-21 in the second half.
Joining Hanson in double figures was freshman teammate Kymani Vine, who finished with 19 points.
Eisenhower is back in action on Wednesday when it travels to Brookville for a non-region contest.
