The Warren boys basketball team took care of business Friday evening when they hosted Titusville, and celebrated their seniors in the annual senior recognition.
Warren’s seniors are Tage Wyman, Colin Zdarko, David Manning, Logan Crissey, Lucas Thrift, Jacob McMeans and Allen Eaton.
The Dragons dominated from start to finish en route to a 73-28 Region 5 victory over the Rockets.
“This is a close-knit group of kids,” stated head coach Jeff Berdine. “They have gotten closer as the year has progressed as well.”
The Dragons got out to a massive 25-0 lead in the first quarter before the Rockets scored their first points. The football-esque score was led by a powerful offensive performance from a combination of the seniors. Once securing the large margin, they would keep extending the lead, enough to enact the running clock for the rest of the game.

“We had a lot of energy early,” Berdine said. “Our press helped create turnovers that got the juices flowing.”
Every senior contributed points in the victory with McMeans, Manning and Eaton leading the way with 12 points apiece. Thrift scored 11, Crissey 9, Wyman 5 and Zdarko 4.
The Warren junior varsity squad defeated the Rockets 52-26 led by 12-point scoring efforts from Max Spiegel and Leyton Salvatore.
The Dragons are back on the road Tuesday when they travel to Franklin to take on the Knights in a tough Region 5 matchup.
Junior varsity tips off at 6:00 p.m. with varsity to follow.
“Franklin is playing well, and region games on the road are always a toss up,” Berdine said. “We have to be the better defensive team again, especially on the road.”
