RUSSELL — Eisenhower’s defense held North East to just one field goal in the first half en route to a 47-14 Region 3 girls basketball win on Saturday.

The Knights, who led 29-6 at halftime, got a game-high 21 points from Clara Steinberg. All five of Eisenhower’s starters scored in the second half and their defense forced turnovers that led to points.

“I thought the girls played a great game defensively,” Eisenhower head coach DJ Steinberg said. “They came out and executed the game plan flawlessly.”

The Knights improved to 11-3 overall and 6-2 in Region 3, while North East saw its record fall to 4-10 and 2-6.
