WARREN FALLS
The Warren boys wrestling team fell to a tough Harbor Creek squad Wednesday evening 48-24. The Huskies got off to a hot start as they won the first five matches to take the 25-0 lead. Hayden Holden was able to secure Warren’s first points of the night with a pin just 45 seconds into the bout. This was Holden’s 99th career win.
Also winning for the Dragons were Ryan Letko, Carter Campbell and Tyson Harkins, all via pin.
“Harbor Creek is a really good team with really good coaches,” Warren head coach Koltyn Eason said. “They are doing the right thing with their kids. All I wanted for this match was for the kids to go out and wrestle their best, and I believe that is what they did. The kids wrestled hard and are trusting in the plan.”
The Dragons next compete at the District 9 and 10 AAA Team Wrestling Championships on Saturday at Sharon High School. They will first face DuBois, then Harbor Creek, if they prevail.
