The Warren unified bocce team had a quick turnaround from Tuesday as it hosted the Seneca Bobcats on Wednesday evening at Warren Area High School.

The Dragons and Bobcats each had two squads representing their respective schools. Warren 1 earned a 9-3 win over Seneca 1, and a 10-4 victory over Seneca 2.

“Warren 1 played well together,” reported assistant coach Kevin Dustin. “They talked a lot about strategy and came up with a great game plan to win, and came back from behind in the second game.”

The Warren 2 team split with the Bobcats, defeating Seneca 2 by a score of 8-3, but lost a narrow 7-5 decision versus Seneca 1.

Head coach Cayla Onoratti commented, “Warren 2 came out strong with a big game-1 win with aggressive play. They started a comeback during the second game, trailing 7-0 after the 4th frame, but fell victim to the 30-minute clock and finished 5-7.”
