Crissey pours in 32, lifts Dragons past Titusville

TITUSVILLE — Logan Crissey had a career night Tuesday, dropping 32 points to lead Warren to a 61-42 victory over Titusville.

Crissey, senior, was a force all over the court, having an impact under the hoop as well as beyond the arc as he made six 3-pointers.

The Dragons got off to a hot start, pouring in 21 points in the first quarter, and leading 34-23 at halftime. After the break, Warren gradually extended its lead and posted a comfortable win.

“This was a game of runs with both teams unable to score consistently,” Dragons head coach Jeff Berdine said. “We were finally able to pull away once we decided to have more patience then we did early in the game. We had too many turnovers for my liking. We need to learn to value the ball more or expect to watch from the bench.”

Also making an impact for the Dragons were seniors David Manning and Tage Wyman.

“I felt both Tage and David played well tonight, giving us some quality minutes,” added Berdine.

Also scoring for Warren, besides Crissey, were Wyman with 8 points, Jacob McMeans with 6, and Bradey Chase with 4.

The Rockets had two players in double digits. Blake Schmidt led the way with 11 and Holland Fratus chipped in 10.

The Dragons are back at home on Friday as they host the Franklin Knights for a 7:15 p.m. varsity tip-off.

Starting at $3.50/week.
