RUSSELL — The Eisenhower Knights wrestling team played host to Conneaut Area High School on Tuesday evening and came away with a hard-fought 37-27 Region 3 victory.
For the Knights, the middle weights proved the difference as Thane Gourley at 145 pounds, Wyatt Neal at 160 pounds and Colin Havers at 172 pounds all got pins.
Shawn Miller at 127 pounds and Bryceton Wilkins at 189 pounds each earned technical falls.
At 215 pounds, Brice Spinks earned a 14-7 decision and at 107 pounds, Lane Morrison earned a forfeit to help the Knights.
“It was a total team win,” Eisenhower head coach Jared Lindell said. “The guys that got back points were huge for us, as well as the guys that lost but didn’t give up any back points.”
Eisenhower travels to Titusville for another Region 3 match tonight.
