Warren boys beat Erie 3-0

ERIE — On Monday, the Warren boys soccer team traveled to Erie High and defeated the Royals 3-0 in Region 5 action.

Trey Carrington started the scoring off a Quinn Norris corner kick one minute into the game, which set the tone for the rest of the night.

Jack Chapman found the back of the net off a Luc Wilkins pass.

Norris sealed the deal when he netted a penalty kick in the second half.

Steals leaders for the game were Quinn Norris with 23, Reilly Morgan with 15 and Trey Carrington with 15.

“Tonight’s game was as physical as they come, but I couldn’t be more proud of how the boys kept their focus and played smart, controlled soccer,” Warren head coach Steffen Blair said. “Reilly (Morgan) and Kyle (Jones) were phenomenal all night, and were a huge reason they didn’t have any clear looks at goal.”

Goalkeeper Adon Maier had another clean sheet and recorded 10 saves on the night.

Warren’s junior varsity lost 3-2. Grant Newton scored both goals for the Dragons.

Warren returns to play Wednesday when it hosts the Franklin Knights for a 6 p.m. Region 5 varsity start.

Starting at $3.50/week.
