Kate Shippee

Lady Dragon golfer Kate Shippee finished her Junior campaign with a 5th place finish at the AAA District 10 individual championships on Saturday at Meadville Country Club.

Kate ended round one with an 88, making the cut, and moving on to shoot a 91 over the weekend.

Fort LeBoeuf’s Cassidy Conn was the overall medalist shooting a two-day total of 154.

Dragon golf coach Scott Pearson commented, “Unfortunately, everyone’s season has to end sometime, however, there were many positive takeaways from her competition at Districts. Kate is very deserving of everything she earned this season because I’ve seen her effort firsthand and the work she has put into her game.”

Pearson added, “As the season is now over for the girls’ team, I want to thank everyone who has had a hand in making this a successful season for us, which includes Cable Hollow and Jackson Valley golf course. Their generosity for letting the golf team use their facilities this season was amazing.”
