GUYS MILLS — Rosalie Rondeau had the hat trick for Eisenhower in Monday’s 3-2 Region 3 girls soccer win over Maplewood.

Maplewood’s Marissa Mitchell scored just six minutes into the game on a pass from Ella Martz to give the Tigers the early lead.

With both teams playing strong defense, it looked like the home team would go into the half with a 1-0 lead, but Rondeau was able to find the net just before the half to knot the score at 1-1.

With both teams continuing their aggressive defense, the score remained tied until Rondeau was able to connect in a shot just inside the right post to give Eisenhower the 2-1 lead with 16 minutes remaining in the game.

The score remained close until Rondeau was able to give her team some breathing room with her third goal of the game with two minutes showing on the clock.

Maplewood’s Ella Martz scored for the Tigers just a minute later, to make it 3-2.

“Our girls wanted this game and played hard to the very end,” Eisenhower head coach Faith Johnson said. “Rose played a great game for her first hat trick of the season.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
